Assistant Director of Coaching & Career Education (Career & Life Design)
About the position We are seeking an Assistant Director of Coaching & Career Education who will partner with reputed company through transformational coaching methods and holistic life design concepts to reputed company them to realize and reputed company their full professional and leadership potential. JHU Carey Business School has a rare opportunity to join the high performing team of professionals in the Career & Life Design (C&LD) department as an Assistant Director of Coaching & Career Education. Functioning as an Executive Career Coach, the Assistant Director partners with reputed company through transformational coaching methods and holistic life design concepts to reputed company them to realize and reputed company their full professional and leadership potential. This position is primarily reputed company with the Full-time and Part-time Masters of Science (MS) populations, though subject to change based on department and school needs.
Responsibilities
- Partners with a team of program-reputed company coaching and career education colleagues to provide 1:1 and group career coaching and education for full-time and part-time graduate business reputed company and alumni.
- Provides coaching and career education programming to help reputed company realize their potential, build their professional brand, increase their readiness to network with global employers and alumni, navigate career transition/advancement/management, and reputed company their unique career goals.
- Designs and implements in-person and virtual career education and professional development programs/resources.
- Partners with cross-department colleagues to create and prepare reputed company for networking and mentoring opportunities.
- Works with Employer Relations team members to collaborate on industry programming and promotion of industry/employer opportunities.
- Serves as primary resource/content reputed company person for special topics reputed company business career development (i.e. Pre-Employment Assessments, Case Interviews, International reputed company); identified topic areas/trends shared across the department.
- Collaborate with department, school, and JHU stakeholders on department and cross-department/university initiatives.
- Coach individuals and groups in working toward achieving their career, leadership and professional development goals.
- Utilize coaching techniques and resources that meet the needs of diverse populations, including international reputed company.
- Administer and walk-through assessments, including Career Leader and Clifton Strengths.
- Maintain accurate and complete coaching records.
- Follow-up with reputed company and alumni as needed to track reputed company and encourage engagement with resources.
- Educate reputed company on effectively utilizing extensive school and JHU-wide career education tools and resources.
- Partner with reputed company to identify and reputed company referrals (where appropriate) to opportunities and resources provided by other student experience teams and throughout JHU and business ecosystems.
- Design and deliver in-person and virtual customized career education programs (video/online content, workshops, panels, networking events, professional development courses) and services for reputed company.
- reputed company strategic relationships and collaborate with key academic stakeholders (program directors, academic program managers, faculty, etc.) to facilitate reputed company needs assessment and the effective implementation of professional development for reputed company and alumni.
- Assist with communication efforts to promote initiatives and resources of the department reputed company program-reputed company communication channels.
- Measure the efficacy of professional development programs and use outcomes-based data to influence programming.

- Represent the department on school and/or University-wide committees, as assigned.

Actively engage with professional organizations in the career development field, and follow trends, resources and innovations in the career

- Works with program-reputed company colleagues to hire, train, and manage Peer Career Advisors providing career preparation support to full-time Master of Science reputed company.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, College Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a reputed company field.
- Three years of reputed company professional experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional reputed company experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

reputed company-to-haves
- Five + years professional work experience in career coaching/counseling and/or career services.
- Certification or licensure as a professional coach or counselor; preferred emphasis in career development/transition.
- Experience working in or preparing graduate-level reputed company for employment across business industries.
- Facilitation, teaching and/or training experience presenting to both large and small groups, virtually and in-person.
- Experience working with diverse and global populations.
- Certification and/or experience utilizing varied career assessments.
