Job Summary:
As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for entering and maintaining accurate sports data, including scores, schedules, standings, and statistics, on our various platforms. You'll work closely with our automated data feeds and manual data entry processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality sports information. Your expertise will help us transform data into compelling stories, highlighting key events and trends that shape the sports world.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the accuracy of sports information disseminated by Details and Data, including scores, schedules, standings, and statistics.
- Work independently and in teams to deliver precise and timely detailed breakdowns, clock-and-score, and other measurements and data that power our various ESPN products and productions.
- Create and maintain a working knowledge of Details and Data's role in fueling ESPN's digital products and television productions.
- Conduct quality checks on your own work and that of others, maintaining a consistently high level of attention to detail.
- Contribute to the development of new projects, tasks, and initiatives across the newsroom, supporting newsroom leaders in coordinating full- and part-time staff.
- Anticipate potential issues, both short-term and long-term, and propose solutions, communicating effectively with colleagues on these matters.
- Play an active role in collaborating with colleagues to refine and improve production processes.
- Participate actively in team and division meetings.
- Seek and respond to feedback on personal performance.

Required Capabilities:
