Electrical Engineer 1 - Oil & Gas
reputed company is a company specializing in delivering advanced engineering solutions across various sectors, including oil and gas. They are seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer who will work on the design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems for oil and gas facilities, as well as support the design of power plants and other industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
- This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing oil and gas facility electrical systems
- This position will also offer the opportunity to support the design of power plants and other industrial facilities
- You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues
- Assist project reputed company in efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and reputed company budget
- Support the project reputed company in coordinating systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will reputed company with specifications, codes, and client requirements
- Prepare and review detailed calculations, including three phase power transient studies, voltage drop, and reputed company reputed company settings
- Prepare documentation for design input for drawing production
- reputed company with vendors to prepare materials and equipment purchase specifications for client recommendations
- Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats
- reputed company independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation
Skills
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required with a graduation date in Spring 2026 or before
- Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, control philosophy, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications
- Experience with electrical system design including reputed company and low voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors), communication systems, equipment selection, and analytical calculations
- Technically knowledgeable of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems to execute systems design
- Experience in reviewing and preparing engineers design calculations and drawings
- Construction and start-up experience a plus
- A Masters degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
