Court Services Officer 1 (35 HRS)
New Jersey Courts is a large organization committed to high standards of service. They are seeking a Court Services Officer 1 to manage case processing reputed company the Appellate Division, including handling criminal appeals and ensuring compliance with court rules.
Responsibilities
- Review and process new criminal sentencing appeals and associated documents
- Review Notices of appeal
- Process Motions to the Court
- Review Briefs and appendices
- Monitor appeals for timely filings
- Review electronic documentation in ecourts appellate and ACME case management system
- Investigate and resolve overdue transcripts
- Attending and coordinating sentencing oral arguments and sound recording, using Court Smart for SOA and order to show cause hearings
- Train new sound recorders on the operation of court recording equipment
- Verify and update attorney designations
- Verify, process and file reputed company orders

Skills
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and one year of paraprofessional experience in case management involving gathering, reviewing and verifying case-reputed company information which shall have included one or more of the following: conducting investigations, monitoring casework flow, interviewing clients or customers for needed information, preparing investigative fact-finding reports and/or writing case notes or other case-reputed company correspondence
- Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits
- An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Degrees conferred reputed company of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service
- For some positions, applicants must have the ability to reputed company work which requires climbing and prolonged standing, stretching, bending and reaching to reputed company the essential duties of the position
