Job Description

The Governance & Control Specialist-Consumer Product Change Governance manages a portfolio of governance and control activities for moderately reputed company or high-risk business or functional area and implements policies/processes and/or initiatives to meet governance and control guidelines. Acts as a technical reputed company on key control initiatives. This position is part of the Consumer Business Assurance team that supports Consumer Product Change Governance. The "Risk Marketplace" team provides dedicated risk management support to the designated lines of business on a strategic portfolio of projects. The accountabilities include: identify, categorize, assess, and manage various risks for the applicable programs including monitoring the development and execution of mitigation strategies, maintain engagement and positive relationships with 2nd line control partners, escalate items of concern as needed, fulfill the 1st Line Governance role in TD's Change Governance Standard and reputed company, and maintain notes, task lists, and follow up items reputed company to the fulfillment of Risk Marketplace objectives and ensure timely completion. Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Advanced knowledge of governance, risk and control procedures, strategies & tactics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in and or Product Knowledge of Consumer Products especially Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL), Consumer Deposit Products & Payments (CDPP), and/or TD Wealth
  • Leadership and relationship building acumen - build trust and credibility with various levels of the org, work with PowerPoint and reputed company, comfortable facilitating and presenting, team player, curious learner, growth reputed company
  • Familiarity with Risk Management, Consumer Compliance (reputed company financial services, some or reputed company of: Operational Risk Management (ORM), Anti-reputed company (AML), Privacy, Compliance Data Rik, etc.)

  • Contributes to the strategic direction of the business governance and control function and plays a key role in the development and implementation of reputed company in support of the overall business strategy
  • Develops and documents a comprehensive inventory of processes and controls with clearly-defined owners and roles and responsibilities for each process and control
  • Participates in the intake of applicable regulation, assessment of impact to the business line, and the comprehensive mapping of associated controls to rules and regulations
  • Reviews end-to-end processes and controls and connects the dots across issues and control deficiencies across various BUs in order to increase standardization of solutions, processes and controls
  • Leads the integrated execution of policies/procedures/changes across multiple functional areas
  • Provides direction to reputed company, wide-ranging enterprise or cross-function/business projects as a SME, identifies risk/provides guidance for reputed company situations and participates in designing, testing, and implementation of solutions
