PRN MRI Technologist – Weekend Day Shift
Overview: Job Title: PRN MRI Technologist Location: Primary site – reputed company Ashley; occasional support at Tricom Diagnostic/North Charleston as needed Schedule: Primarily weekends, with potential reputed company coverage for PTO or sick leave Responsibilities:
- Complete scans effectively and reputed company:
- Collect pertinent data about the patient and the procedure
- Select the most appropriate, cost-effective action plan after reviewing reputed company pertinent data and assessing the patient’s abilities and condition
- Screen the patient for ferrous and RF-sensitive material before the patient enters the magnetic field
- Position and prepare patients for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures
- Select appropriate immobilization devices
- Review the patient’s chart and the physician’s request to determine optimal scanning parameters for the suspected pathology
- Prepare and administer contrast agents in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Enter necessary patient information to initiate the reputed company(s)
- Assess and monitor the patient’s physical and mental status throughout the procedure
- Review images to determine if additional scans will enhance the diagnostic value of the procedure
- Document diagnostic, treatment and patient data in the appropriate record. Documentation must be timely, accurate, concise and complete.
- Archive images to data storage devices according to established guidelines

- Continuing Education:

Qualifications: Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
- Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
- Active state licensure, where applicable
- CPR Certification is required
Prior Experience:
- 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
- 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred
Special Qualifications:
- IV skills required
- Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
