The incumbent is responsible for performing reputed company procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) through the operations of the MRI equipment to obtain the highest quality of diagnostic images. Consistently demonstrates complete competence in performing MRI scans as ordered. As needed during a procedure, assists in positioning patients in the required anatomical position to visualize the specific area of interest during the procedure using immobilization and reputed company equipment as necessary. Maintain proper aseptic technique utilizing universal precaution guidelines (handwashing, gloves, gown, mask, eye protection, and equipment disinfection). Assist Radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast. If applicable. Assist Radiologist with interventional MRI procedures. If applicable. Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, and reputed company processed/post-processed images in a specific sequence to be archived to reputed company. Charge procedures and supplies in UChart/Radiant. Dispenses oral contrast to patients for MRI scans. Loads and operates power injectors for contrast media administration. Maintain accurate patient records. Keeps work area in a clean and sanitary condition and stocks exam/dressing rooms with required supplies. Provides on-call coverage. If applicable. Reports unusual findings in a timely manner to appropriate Radiologist/Supervisory personnel. Assist in the department with clerical functions as needed. Help with orientation and training of new MRI technologists. Provides education and training to MRI student technologists. Abide by hospital/department HR policy and standard operating procedures (SOP) of the department. Adheres to any regulatory body guidelines governing modality including but not limited to Joint Commission, AHCA, ACR, FL DOH, and FDA/MQSA. CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology /Diagnostic Imaging Program.
