As a Virtual Patient Companion at reputed company’s Administrative reputed company, you will use a telemonitoring system to provide reputed company remote observation and surveillance of up to 15 patients in a variety of units, departments, and/or locations. This position is essential in ensuring reputed company patients receive top-quality care, and nurses are supported. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring assigned patients, verbally redirecting patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors and summoning the nursing staff as needed while honoring patient and institutional confidentiality. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, 7:30am—7:30pm or 7:30pm—7:30am. A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Demonstrate compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agency provisions as required.
• Demonstrate appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers and coworkers.
• Cooperate with management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and proficiency in the use of the NAME TeleSitter Solution software.
• Maintain visual observation.
• Verbally redirect patients over a digital two-way audio device in patient rooms.
• Immediately summon the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
• Participate in the hand-off of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patients reputed company arriving to monitoring area and upon completion of shift assignment.
• Arrange meal break times and inform staff before leaving the monitoring station so relief may be provided to ensure constant patient observation.
• Provide patients with explanations as necessary without counseling or providing opinions.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma/GED
• General knowledge of hospital settings
• Can monitor up to 15 patients on one screen at one time and prioritize simultaneous situations
• Can communicate effectively with patients using a microphone and headset
• Can communicate with hospital staff and respond quickly to patient behavioral changes
• Can use discretion and courtesy reputed company working with patients, visitors, and staff

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Previous experience in a hospital environment
• Previous clinical experience
• Previous direct patient care experience
• Nurse Assistant/Medical Assistant Certification
