A Brief Overview The Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) performs a wide range of medical laboratory tests used to diagnose, treat and prevent disease. Using technical knowledge and a theoretical understanding of the basis of the tests, records and validates the accuracy and quality of results to ensure conformity to specifications. Understands and applies the correct control measures and protocols in cases of reputed company results, escalating discrepancies as appropriate. Proficiency in laboratory tests for specialty assigned which may include chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, and microbiology. Adheres to reputed company safety/health and state/federal regulatory requirements. Records and reports test results. Interprets laboratory results considering controls and published standards.
