About the Role

We are looking for an reputed company Special Education Teaching Assistant to support our high school reputed company with disabilities. Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A reputed company Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), Illinois Substitute Teaching License, or Illinois Educator License with Stipulations Endorsed-Paraprofessional Educator
• An associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution, or 60 semester hours of coursework from a regionally accredited institution
• A high school diploma or equivalent, or a GED
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and adults
• A working knowledge of child guidance principles and practices, behavior management and positive reinforcement, classroom procedures and appropriate conduct, and basic record keeping methods

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
