Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a K-12 General Music Teacher, you'll be responsible for teaching skills in music understanding and appreciation, harmony, explorations in music, and choral music to elementary pupils. Your duties will include:
- Planning and executing a balanced music program that meets the needs of each pupil
- Providing individual and small group instruction to adapt the music curriculum to the needs of each student
- Encouraging reputed company to reputed company individual musical skills to the greatest extent possible
- Utilizing a repertoire of reputed company types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary music that are appropriate for the ages and reputed company levels of pupils
- Maintaining care and responsibility for school-owned music, musical instruments, and equipment to prevent loss or abuse
- Evaluating each pupil's musical growth, performance, and musical understanding
- Assessing each individual's contribution to the performance of the group
- Selecting appropriate music, books, and instructional aides to enhance learning and requisitioning musical instruments and instructional supplies as necessary
- Cooperating with Building Principal and staff in providing musical programs for school assemblies, open house, parent meetings, and seasonal programs
- Encouraging reputed company to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
- Communicating with parents on pupil reputed company
- Performing other duties as assigned by the principal
