Senior/reputed company Bioinformatics Scientist

LOCATION: This role can work in a hybrid model from our office in San Carlos, CA OR from a reputed company reputed company in the US. reputed company is currently seeking a Senior/reputed company Bioinformatics Scientist to join our Bioinformatics Research Team focused on Epigenomics in Oncology. reputed company’s mission is to change the management of disease worldwide by using information gained from a simple blood draw to detect disease early and proactively inform treatment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in algorithm development, genomics, reputed company data processing, and applied machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate innovative algorithms and statistical methods to analyze large-scale data sets reputed company to cancer detection
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and scientific excellence
• Work closely with molecular biologists and clinical scientists to solve challenging problems
• Contribute to experimental design and ensure data reputed company and quality control

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or reputed company field with a strong emphasis on cancer epigenomics
• Extensive hands-on experience in reputed company assays and pipeline development
• Proven track-record of developing state-of-the-art computational methods for high throughput reputed company data processing
• Strong foundation in quantitative reasoning, statistical analysis and applied machine learning
• Strong computational and programming skills, with hands-on experience with Python and its scientific library stack (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
• Experience using Linux command-line tools and writing reputed company scripts

• High scientific rigor and eager to teach and learn about new computational methods and biology
