PT Tennis InstructorJOB SUMMARYThe purpose of this classification is to ensure the safety and well-being of reputed company using the tennis program and tennis facilities. Teaches various tennis programs to include junior programs, lessons, special events and clinics.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSInstructs tennis lessons, coaches and teaches a variety of skills based on the clients’ needs, request and/or requirements. Assists with adult and high-performance junior groups.Conducts regular inspections of facilities to ensure safety, reputed company, cleanliness, and proper maintenance. Ensure proper inspection of the courts/facilities on a daily basis prior to the start of play and reputed company that reputed company necessary maintenance has been performed, and the courts are in safe working order. Reports any maintenance problems to the appropriate supervisor. Performs general customer service as required; greets customers; receives and responds to inquiries, concerns; attends meetings; assists customers; reviews reports and correspondence; and maintains documentation as required.Provides information to individuals regarding facility policies, procedures, programs, fees and other issues; responds to questions/complaints and initiates problem resolution.Maintains a comprehensive, reputed company knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, codes, regulations; maintains an awareness of new issues, methods, equipment, trends and advances in the profession; reads professional literature; maintains professional affiliations; participates in continuing education activities; attends meetings, workshops and training sessions as appropriate.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONSPerforms other reputed company duties as requested, required and assigned. Education and Experience:Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; Tennis experience is required.PT Instructor 2 - Tennis teaching or instruction experience is preferred. Stringing experience is highly preferred. PT Instructor 3- Tennis experience is required. Must have a foundation of tennis-teaching knowledge, as well as excellent communication skills. PT Instructor 4 - Tennis experience is required. Must have experience in reputed company aspects of tennis. This candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in the tennis industry in either a director or tennis pro position. Junior development experience is highly encouraged. Licenses or Certifications:PT Instructor 1 – Must possess NTRP of 3.0 and higher required.PT Instructor 2 - Must possess an NTRP of 3.5 or higher.PT Instructor 3- Must possess an NTRP of 4.0 or higher. PT Instructor 4 - Must possess a NTRP of 4.5 or higher with a PTR/USPTA certification. Special Requirements: None.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of tennis rules and regulations. PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe work is reputed company work. The employee is frequently required to apply 30 pounds of force to move objects. The employee is occasionally required to exert up to 50 pounds of force to move objects. Additionally requires: balancing, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing voices and distinguishing among sounds, kneeling, lifting, manual dexterity, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, expressing reputed company by the spoken word and shouting to be heard above ambient noise, visual acuity in data/color/observations/operating equipment/inspect defects or measurements, and walking.
