[Remote] Process Hazard Analysis Facilitator - Part-time, Flexible

The Process Hazard Analysis Facilitator will provide technical services and guidance to support Process Safety improvement activities, primarily facilitating Process Hazard Analyses and offering recommendations for safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies
• Primary responsibility will be to provide Process Hazard Analysis studies support which includes Prepare, facilitate, and reputed company PHA studies through a variety of methodologies (What-If, Checklist, FMEA, HAZOP, HAZID, etc.) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
• Selecting the PHA methodology based on the complexity of the process and hazards involved
• Ensure PHA scenarios, consequences, safeguards, and recommendations are complete and correctly identified and captured in the PHA software (PHAPro or similar)
• Write and review technical reports
• Read and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID), mechanical drawings, process flow diagrams, reputed company flow diagrams, electrical line diagram etc
• Understand and reputed company with reputed company and client procedures
• Ability to conduct PHAs and/or training in person as well as virtual
• Effective and reputed company communication with clients and consulting team
• Able to work with a team on projects and independently on projects or tasks
• reputed company technical reviews for peers which could include marketing papers, presentations, reports, etc
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
• Be client-facing, having a proven record of building and maintaining positive and professional client relationships

Skills

• BS (or Higher) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection) or other safety reputed company field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in process safety management
• Strong personal communications and leadership skills
• Must be able to work well under pressure reputed company a team environment
• Must deliver reports and analysis documents reputed company time-driven deadlines
• Ability to conduct PHAs and/or training in person as well as virtual
• Effective and reputed company communication with clients and consulting team
• Able to work with a team on projects and independently on projects or tasks

• Be client-facing, having a proven record of building and maintaining positive and professional client relationships
• Must be able to work in a variety of client locations, environments, and conditions
• Must be able to accommodate working during various shifts as client activities are scheduled
• Must be able to withstand the rigors of extensive travel
• Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion
• Ability to lift 25-50lbs (luggage)
• Extended periods of computer-based work
• Extended periods of standing
• Position requires travel, up to 50%, and may require international travel
• Formal training in various PHA methodologies and LOPA is desired with a minimum experience of 5 years
• Experience in facilitating PHAs in the Oil & Gas Industry is preferred
• Safety-reputed company designation preferred (CSP, CFEI, CCPSC, PE, etc.)
• Experience and strong knowledge in safety-reputed company areas (PSM, RMP, combustible dust, chemical reaction hazards, flammable liquids/gases, etc.) is preferred
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (NFPA, Building & Fire Codes, OSHA, etc.) is preferred
