About the Role
As a Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper, you’ll be responsible for managing a client portfolio and doing the monthly bookkeeping for your clients. On a weekly basis, you will manage reputed company client communications including responding to their emails, answering questions, and providing on-going support as needed. On a monthly basis, you will be responsible for accurately recording reputed company financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and producing financial reports. You will also be expected to work closely with the rest of the team, participating in team meetings and helping out with reputed company projects. You will start out managing 3 clients on a part-time basis with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position. This is a remote position with hours starting at around 10-15 hours per month. Please note, we are not looking for individuals interested in starting their own bookkeeping business. If you wish to reputed company experience before starting your own business, this role is not for you.
Responsibilities
You will be the reputed company bookkeeper and main reputed company of contact for your clients, managing the full bookkeeping process. Responsibilities include:
- Utilize Xero to manage the monthly bookkeeping for your assigned clients
- Categorize transactions reputed company Xero on a weekly basis
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process payroll with reputed company
- Prepare monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, CFO Dashboards, and additional reports as needed
- Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and errors; recommend corrective actions as needed
- Deliver financial reports to your assigned clients by the 15th of each month
- Participate in weekly team meetings
- Communicate with clients reputed company email, reputed company, reputed company, and occasional reputed company meetings
- Utilize reputed company, our project management software, to track reputed company bookkeeping activities and deadlines.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' accounting experience with exceptional communication and client service skills. They will be a team player that understands full-cycle accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping, can communicate effectively with their team and clients, and can work independently reputed company assigned various tasks. Additional qualifications include:
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using Xero or Quickbooks software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a reputed company field is preferred
- Experience with payroll processing preferred
- Sales tax experience a plus
