Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of a registered nurse or physician and under assigned administrative supervision, provides care reputed company the scope of the Vocational Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Assists in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Follows patient identification procedures, provides appropriate information for reputed company patient procedures, and collects and handles specimens. Assesses and implements prescribed interventions for the patient. Implements and documents discharge plan for each patient. Recognizes that ethical/legal/medical dilemmas exist in the nursing practice and confers with the appropriate resource personnel reputed company making ethical nursing decisions. Participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment. Assist with the care and maintenance of department equipment. Complete and accurate charting of patient records. Complete and accurate record keeping of equipment and quality measures. Collaborate with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of care across the continuum, providing timely, safe and quality care. Responsible for providing a safe, HIPAA compliant environment for the patient and the staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience in a healthcare care facility (Specialty Clinics can hire a new grad LVN with no experience)
- Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of reputed company Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and reputed company preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred
- Home Health: At least one (1) year of experience in the area of public health or home care nursing. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
- Hospice: Community health/hospice or medical/surgical experience is preferred. Understands philosophy of hospice concept. Also understands needs of the terminally ill. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
