About the Role

As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the flexibility to balance your time between our reputed company and home. You'll work with schools in the Cranbury, NJ area, providing high-quality instruction and support to reputed company. Our hybrid model allows you to take control of your schedule, and we're committed to providing you with the tools and resources you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to reputed company in the absence of the regular teacher
• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the regular teacher or school administration
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
• Communicate with school staff and administrators to ensure a smooth and effective substitute teaching experience
• Participate in 1:1 reputed company-ins with your designated Scoot consultant to discuss your performance and areas for growth

Essential Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
• Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
• NJ Substitute Credential
• Background reputed company and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination
• A passion for education and putting reputed company first

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a substitute teacher or in a reputed company educational role
• Special education or paraprofessional experience
