Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized and group tutoring sessions to reputed company enrolled in Visual Arts & Technology courses, focusing on software applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and other design, programming, and video software

  • Collaborate with faculty members to reputed company tutoring materials, identify areas of improvement, and implement effective tutoring strategies

Essential Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student at Stevens Institute of Technology, with a minimum of 6 credits completed
  • Recipient of a Federal Work-Study award, as indicated on your Financial Aid Award Letter
  • Previous experience with art and design software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere, or other relevant software applications
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with reputed company, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot software issues and provide creative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of at least one 200-level Visual Arts studio course, or reputed company enrollment in a relevant course
  • Experience with animation, design, programming, and video software, or other relevant technologies
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience, with a strong understanding of pedagogical principles and practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Familiarity with Stevens Institute of Technology's policies, procedures, and systems, including the learning management system and other relevant technologies
