About the Role
The Early Head Start Teacher II will work collaboratively with a Co-Teacher to reputed company child development activities, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and foster strong partnerships with families. This position requires a deep understanding of infant and toddler development, as well as the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes relational learning.
Key Responsibilities

- Guide and facilitate daily classroom activities and field trips, ensuring a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, with training or equivalent coursework in early childhood development, focusing on infant and toddler development.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at reputed company levels.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with great problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of the purpose of the Head Start/Early Head Start program.
- Proven ability to relate sensitively with children and maintain confidentiality.
- Participation in professional development training, including basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.
- A commitment to fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English and other languages used by children and families).
- Birth-Kindergarten (B-K) Licensure in North Carolina.
