Job Summary
The Payroll Associate II will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle payrolls for multiple subsidiaries reputed company the FOC. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including payroll processing, time and labor management, and reporting. Under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Associate II will be responsible for maintaining payroll records, compiling reputed company payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax withholding requirements and garnishment procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, and/or off-cycle payrolls for multiple subsidiaries reputed company the FOC at Reliance, Inc.
- Update payroll data and process time and labor, commissions, incentives, bonuses, onsite checks, and any other earnings as requested.
- Process and record adjustments to pay reputed company to payroll elections, benefits, or retroactive increases.
- Organize and prioritize daily workload to assure tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor case management for employees and managers payroll inquiries regularly to ensure service level agreements and high subsidiary satisfaction are met.
- Manage the timely resolution of subsidiary issues, including handling escalations, performing and documenting Root Cause Analysis, and implementing remedial procedures to reputed company gaps identified.
- Assist with analyzing reports as necessary for use by the subsidiaries and colleagues.
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and provide coverage/assist other Payroll staff as needed.
- Work on special projects as assigned by management.
- Create and maintain required payroll Standard Operating Procedures and/or other documentation.
- Assist with preparing documentation for payroll inquiries, audits, or other reviews, as needed.
- Responsible for adhering to safety processes and protocols.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- 2+ years of full-service payroll experience is required; multi-state experience strongly preferred.
- Ceridian reputed company experience is a plus.
- Union payroll knowledge is strongly desired.
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local tax withholding requirements and garnishment procedures required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to work independently as well as reputed company a team environment.
- Experience in a shared service center environment is desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
