About the Role

We're seeking an experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our remote team. As a strategic HR partner, you'll work closely with employees, management, and leadership to develop and implement effective people strategies, processes, and initiatives that align with our business goals. Your expertise will help us build a high-performing team, foster a positive culture, and drive sustained growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to employee inquiries, conduct investigations, and provide comprehensive resolutions, identifying opportunities to improve processes and create documentation.
  • Track and record training procedures' completion for compliance aspects, such as anti-harassment, responsible gambling, and anti-money laundering.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, Leave of Absence, workplace accommodations, and workers' compensation.
  • Advise managers on complex HR matters, including sensitive employee relations issues, and design training programs to enhance leadership capabilities.
  • Coach managers to effectively performance manage and increase employee engagement through ongoing feedback and communication.
  • Assist with payroll processing, new hire onboarding, eNPS surveys, performance reviews, and culture events.
  • Own the creation and upkeep of the People Team Notion page, ensuring compliance with EEOC and diversity, equality, and inclusion laws.
  • Research and handle special projects, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable approach.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role, preferably in a high-growth start-up environment.
  • Experience working with a non-exempt or field operations workforce, with a strong understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work autonomously and maintain confidentiality.
  • A positive customer service attitude, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Payroll and benefits administration experience, with knowledge of recruiting laws and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Greenhouse.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the tech or gaming industry, with a deep understanding of the start-up ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of HR metrics and analytics, with the ability to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Certifications in HR, such as SHRM-CP or HRCI, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
