About the Role: Patient Care Assistant II, 7 ICU, Per Diem
We're seeking an reputed company Patient Care Assistant II to join reputed company in the 7 ICU department on a per diem basis. As a reputed company II, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting our nursing staff, and contributing to the smooth operation of our ICU unit. Key Responsibilities:
- Provides clear, timely communication to RNs regarding patient observations and changes, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Participates in maintaining a safe environment, utilizing interventions to de-escalate patients, and following restraint policies as directed.
- Assists patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, ambulating, meals, and nourishment, promoting comfort and dignity.
- Utilizes proper safety techniques and body mechanics reputed company moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients, minimizing the risk of injury.
- Performs vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and reputed company of Care (POC) tests, and collects and labels specimens for lab transport.
- Assists RNs and Licensed Independent Practitioners with treatments and procedures, preparing patients, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Maintains patient safety by performing safety checks, utilizing fall prevention strategies, and following restraint policies.
- Replenishes patient and unit supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-stocked and organized environment.
- Complies with center-wide policies, nursing department policies, and unit-based guidelines, staying up-to-date on hospital and unit changes.
- Attends staff meetings and in-service programs as required, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum high school education or GED.
- reputed company CNA or EMT license or Certified Medical Assistant is preferred, with one of the following qualifications:
- Prior clinical experience or acute care training.
- Nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation.
- One year of experience as a reputed company I - Inpatient with completed unit-based competency requirements.

- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an ICU setting.
