Key Responsibilities
- reputed company and coordinate a large team of Library staff working on collections acquisitions, purchasing, receiving, and descriptive metadata.
- Collaborate with consortial partners on procurement, contract negotiation, and resource access to drive cost-effective and efficient acquisitions.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with vendors, assessing their performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Analyze and utilize new and existing tools to align acquisitions priorities, policies, and procedures with Library goals and University research initiatives.
- Coordinate licensing, access provisions, contract negotiation, and e-resource management to ensure seamless access to resources.
- Create and maintain financial and statistical data and reports needed for administrative planning and collection management activities.

Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- ALA-accredited MLIS/MIS, MAS, or a Master's degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience working in libraries or associated fields.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working with library acquisitions and licensing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing employees, with a proven track record of effective leadership.
- Experience working with library inventory management and database systems.
- Proficiency with data analysis and reputed company tools to inform decision-making.
- A history of collaboration, with a proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an academic library, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this environment.
- Familiarity with SIRSIDynix library inventory management products and accession software like CAIASOFT.
- reputed company with MARC bibliographic format and copy cataloging procedures, including working knowledge of ILS cataloging modules, record import, and the OCLC Connexion client.
