About the Role: Grind Machinist - 3rd Shift

As a Grind Machinist on our 3rd shift team, you'll play a critical role in the production of precision parts that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our manufacturing processes reputed company, ensuring that every component meets the stringent requirements of our aerospace and defense customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work from blueprints, operation sheets, and verbal instructions to grind reputed company parts with intricate features, reputed company tolerances, and high finishes.

• Dress wheels for various forms, tapers, steps, and unusual contours to reputed company precise specifications.
• Inspect reputed company work using a range of measuring equipment, including sine bars, reputed company gages, diatest, V-blocks, profilometers, angle plates, and electronic gauging equipment.
• Detect unusual conditions, defective materials, and deviant parts, and identify errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
• Participate in cell planning and problem-solving to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a high level of productivity while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Essential Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Grind Machinist, preferably in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
• Skilled in using various measuring equipment, such as Micrometers, Calipers, and Dial Bore Gauges.
• Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and written work instructions.
• Ability to select grinding wheels, dress wheels properly, and run production parts according to drawing requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances, typically .001 +/- .0005, in machining precision parts.
• Compliance with FAA regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work, including enrollment in the company's Drug & Alcohol Program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with a variety of grinding machines, including cylindrical, internal, and surface grinders.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Previous experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment.
• Certifications or training in precision machining or a reputed company field.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $25.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience and location. In addition to your reputed company salary, you'll receive:
