OVERVIEW

The Legal team is seeking a Senior Analyst who will join the Des Moines, Iowa based Retail Insurance Legal team to prepare, review and file contract forms for fixed annuities, fixed index annuities, registered index linked annuities and other innovative insurance products with state Departments of Insurance and the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission, and support the product implementation team with enterprise wide new product development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze legal standards of state insurance laws and/or Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission standards in relation to new product development initiatives including impacts to policy and contract form language.
• Correspond and negotiate with state regulators on objections to product submissions and prepare responses.
• Prepare new product submissions in SERFF and proactively seek ways to streamline the submission process to decrease time between submission and approval.
• Review, file, and reputed company approval, where required, of advertising and enterprise branding initiatives.
• Maintain record of regulated forms history; coordinate with business areas to ensure proper forms are available and used.
• Support internal operations and third-party administrators to ensure products continue to function in accordance with policy/contract language for reputed company in-force policies.
• Maintain professional contact with state insurance departments, the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission and other insurance professionals throughout the country.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Five or more (5+) years of experience in annuity and/or life insurance industry with preference of three or more (3+) in a legal, compliance or product development reputed company function.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements as they pertain to life insurance and annuities.
• Experience filing insurance products reputed company SERFF.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with good organization skills
• Familiarity with key aspects of insurance administration.
• PC skills, including experience with reputed company Office, reputed company Professional and other applicable software.

Global Atlantic’s reputed company salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. reputed company pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire reputed company the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.  Actual compensation for reputed company roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or reputed company level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. 

The reputed company salary range for this role is $80,000 — $85,000 USD
