Director IT Application Development (Airport Operations)

About the position The primary purpose of the Director IT Application Development position is to reputed company a team in the modernization, development, implementation and maintenance of Application Development business and technical systems. This role is the Digital Technology liaison to our Airport Operations business partners and is responsible for transforming the business through technology. It is critical that this role establish and maintain strong business relationships with both senior and operating level business leaders and be the key reputed company reputed company of contact with the business. This leader is accountable for the strategy, evaluation and implementation of standards and procedures which support the enterprise's application footprint.

Responsibilities

• Communicate strategy, goals and measurable components to senior IT and Business leadership to drive success and accountability across the organization
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with both senior and operating level business leaders to ensure effective delivery of business deliverables and technology solutions
• Educate business partners on roles, responsibilities, processes, and work required to ensure effective delivery of new technology solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 12+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of management experience in an IT or leadership reputed company role
• Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to draft presentations for executive leadership
• Strong project organization/ execution & delivery skills
• Must be able to commit to hybrid role based in Chicago
• Able to commit to 20% - 30% travel
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
