Job Type: Temporary, Part-time (up to 19.5 hours per week)
Compensation: $13.85 - $18.35/hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tutor to join our team at the Northwest Campus Learning Center. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in assisting students in developing comprehension in various subjects, improving study skills, and habits. - Provide instructional tutoring and assistance with basic concepts, specific problems, homework, test preparation, and effective use of textbooks and instructional materials in virtual and in-person environments.
- Help students develop effective study skills to increase their academic success and independence.
- Offer encouragement and support to students in areas of self-confidence, study habits, and time management.
- Report any problems or concerns with equipment or materials to the Learning Center Personnel.
- Establish effective and cooperative relationships with diverse student and employee populations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven classroom excellence (grade A or B) in the subject(s) to be tutored.
- Written Faculty recommendation for the subject(s) to be tutored OR vetting of content knowledge.
- Tutors must complete CRLA Level 1 certification within one year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tutoring experience.
- Comfort tutoring multiple subjects.
Physical Requirements:
- Positions in this class typically require: talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Subjects Needed:
- Engineering.
- Mathematics (through Calculus).
- Chemistry (through Organic).
- Physics.
