Director of Data Science

We are seeking a Director of Data Science. This role will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the data science team at reputed company, and requires a deep technical background, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and excellence in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Chief Data Scientist, the Director of Data Science will collaborate closely with other leaders to align engineering efforts with the company's strategic goals.  

What you will do

• Provide direction and guidance to a team of Senior and Staff Data Scientists, enabling them to do their best work

• Collaborate with the leadership team to define key technical and business metrics and objectives

• Translate objectives into internal team priorities and assignments

• Drive sprints and work with cross-functional stakeholders to appropriately prioritize various initiatives to improve customer metrics

• Hire, mentor and reputed company team members

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and reputed company improvement

• Communicate technical concepts and strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively

• Own the success of various models on the field by continuously monitoring KPI’s and initiating projects to improve quality.  

What you bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a reputed company field

• 10+ years of data science experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, including a leadership role at a start-up. Proven track record of managing data teams and delivering reputed company, high-impact products from concept to deployment

• Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices in data reputed company

• Exceptional team management abilities, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams

• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

• Ability to drive change and reputed company a distributed team

• Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven reputed company
