Senior Business Analyst - Payment Solutions Innovator

We're seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge payment solutions for the Federal government. As a crucial member of our Project Management Office (PMO) team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements, driving the successful delivery of our payment solutions.

In this remote-friendly role (with optional hybrid schedule for NYC-based candidates), you will leverage your expertise in business analysis, payments, and project management to drive the development of intuitive user experiences and comprehensive business requirements. Your work will have a direct impact on our ability to provide financial empowerment tools to underserved communities, making a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive use case documentation, including use case descriptions, actors, preconditions, desired outcomes, and postconditions
• Lead use case mapping exercises to define user interactions and system behaviors, ensuring thorough scenario planning and documentation of happy and unhappy paths
• Elicit and analyze business requirements through stakeholder engagement, workshops, and interviews, translating high-level use cases into detailed, testable functional and non-functional requirements
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including detailed requirements specifications, process flows, and other relevant artifacts
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and communication, negotiating conflicting business requirements and identifying/escalating risks and issues related to business requirements and scope
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, Technology, Product, and external vendors, to drive project delivery and provide status updates on requirements progress, risks, and issues
• Support testing and validation efforts, defining and supporting the creation of UAT test plans based on documented use cases

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; alternatively, 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a strong portfolio
• 4+ years of experience in payments, with a background in card rail-based transactions, ACH transactions, transaction lifecycles, card issuing, processing partners, and reconciliation processes
• Proven experience with use case development, business process mapping, business requirements documentation, and generation of process flow diagrams
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Figma or Visio)
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
