Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher with dual certification in Special Education to join our team at Lake Forest East Elementary School. As a temporary teacher for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, including those with special education requirements
• Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development
• Evaluate student progress, identify areas of improvement, and develop targeted strategies to support student success
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive approach to education
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in education

Requirements:

• Dual certification in Elementary Education and Special Education
• Meet the certification requirements of the State of Delaware Department of Education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
