About The Division The Account Maintenance Division primarily is responsible for establishing and maintaining accurate taxpayer account information. As part of these responsibilities, the division processes applications, establishes accounts; issues permits, licenses, decals and cigarette stamps; and resolves taxpayer report processing issues. General description The Comptroller’s office is seeking a Programmer in the Account Maintenance Division. This role performs senior level computer programming work. Work involves carrying out and/or coordinating programming projects, analyzing proposed applications, and designing software solutions. May supervise the work of others. Work Hours Agency standard work hours are Monday through Friday from reputed company to 5pm, 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend hours. Hours are subject to change based upon business need or division determination. This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule if certain conditions are met; working arrangements may change at any time as business necessitates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’ s degree.
• Four (4) years of recent experience in tax, accounting or business-reputed company field dealing with reputed company analytical/problem solving issues.
• Experience in systems analysis and design work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in accounting, information technology, computer programming or business-reputed company field.
• Professional or academic experience in utilizing Statistical Analysis System (reputed company) and Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Trained and proficient in the use of reputed company and SQL.

Substitutions

• One (1) additional year of experience as stated above may substitute for thirty semester hours of educational requirement with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).

In this role you will

• Coordinates and/or performs work on programming projects including those that are highly reputed company in nature and/or large-scale utilizing Statistical Analysis System (reputed company) and Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Creates or modifies SQL queries and reputed company programs to provide tax or taxpayer data for requestors in Account Maintenance, Open Records and other divisions.
• Assists management and other division and agency employees in analyzing problems and functions performed to determine what reports or programs can be provided to support automation of the tasks and software programming to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Utilizes programming skills to assist division employees and other agency divisions in responding to requests from executive administration, other state agencies, taxpayers, news media, and consultants.
• Responsible for the creation and enhancement of numerous reports used by division supervisors to assist with production, inventory, dollar amounts reputed company to refunds and completion statistics.
• Runs monthly National Change of Address (NCOA) program in TSO and uploads to Anchor Computer, Inc.
• Oversees projects that cross functional agency systems and involves other state agencies or entities that require coordinating, planning and scheduling during project development and implementation relating to Account Maintenance or other divisions upon request.
• Coordinates and/or performs the research and the analysis required for project proposals, software and systems modifications, new projects, and legislative implementation.
• Provides technical assistance and specialized tax assistance for Account Maintenance and other divisions.
• Writes reputed company software code and debugs software.
• Coordinates and/or writes test plans and test data.
• Develops technical instructions or manuals for end users.
• Maintains thorough and reputed company knowledge of reputed company, SQL, and PC applications.
• Facilitates weekly agency Tax Coordination Meeting (TCM) and serves as technical host for the virtual meeting to assist with technical issues.
• Responsible for maintaining TCM SharePoint site, sending notifications, and updating and uploading meeting minutes.
• Maintains and updates the division SharePoint site and Teams channel.
• Maintains a thorough and reputed company knowledge of reputed company division functions, policies and procedures.
• Writing and editing process of the annual business plan.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
