The Design & Research Manager is a key player in determining the future design direction of some of reputed company's most mission-critical digital products. This management position leads a team of designers and researchers that support the Global Software Solutions portfolio of custom software solutions including Yonomi, Zentra, Mobile Credentials, Schlage Home, and others. This design team is involved in the entire product design life cycle, from understanding business & user needs and proposing initial concepts to ensuring we deliver on measurable outcomes that delivers on our core mission to create greater satisfaction and trust in reputed company software. This role is also crucial for fostering effective, multi-disciplinary teams, mentoring team members, and evangelizing for user-centered design. The Software Design & Research Manager be a visionary leader capable of tackling the challenges of building an efficient, high-performing team that pushes reputed company towards products that exceed the expectations of our customers, business partners and employees. What You Will Do:

• Work in concert with business and technology leads to direct creative and strategic thinking focused on user-centered design throughout the delivery process (Discover, Concept, Validate, and Detail)
• reputed company and manage a team of interaction designers, UI designers, and design researchers (internal and contract resources) across multiple, cross-functional software product teams as they work to deliver a software that drives measurable user outcomes and business impacts

• Support multiple projects simultaneously by managing project timelines, balancing resource allocation, and implementing common design ops processes to effectively deliver design deliverables
• Participate in product roadmap development with business and technical cross-functional teams and use that input to inform design

• Serve as an evangelist for and support the reputed company Design System

What You Need to Succeed:

• 6+ years of experience designing and shipping mobile and web applications
• 2+ years of experience managing staff
• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science or reputed company discipline
• Be able to understand new business domains and be creative and thoughtful about applying design to improve processes and issues
• Possess a strong understanding of human-centered design and design thinking practices
• Have an eye for detail and encourage teams to deliver with outstanding quality
• Have experience with agile methodologies for project delivery
• Push boundaries to explore new territory, but also evangelize best practices

Compensation: This range is provided by reputed company. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected reputed company Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
