Online Math Tutor (Fall 2025)

BookNook is seeking passionate educators to join our tutoring community as independent contractors, working up to 30 hours per week. BookNook tutors are on the reputed company lines of working to reputed company the opportunity gap for K-8 reputed company during a key period of their educational journey. Our online tutors conduct live, synchronous online tutoring sessions using the BookNook platform and video conferencing software. This is an exciting opportunity to have a direct, positive impact on reputed company on their path to achieving success in Math. As we near the end of the school year, BookNook is seeking to hire tutors for programs scheduled to reputed company in the Fall of 2025. We will be reviewing applications on an as-needed basis throughout the summer. Please note that response times will be longer than usual. We are NOT currently hiring for immediate work; we expect to reputed company onboarding qualified tutors in August. Position Specifics:

• Subject: K-8th grade math
• Position Type: 1099-eligible reputed company
• Timeline: Programs reputed company Fall 2025
• Pay reputed company: $20 per hour ($10 per 30-minute session)
• Schedule: Up to 30 hours per week based on the tutor's availability and the number of active tutoring programs. Schedules may vary based on school requests.
• * Sessions are held only on weekdays (no weekends) and can be before, during, or after school.
• Program duration varies. Tutors are expected to commit to a full program with the same group of reputed company throughout (duration will be reputed company reputed company series are offered).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual tutoring sessions in Math using the BookNook platform. Lessons for math sessions include inquiry-based instruction, with a strong focus on explicit instruction. Curriculum and content will be provided reputed company the platform.
• Manage student behavior and engagement throughout sessions.
• Create a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Maintain positive relationships with reputed company throughout the entire schedule of the program.
• Document observations for each session.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must reside in and work from the United States, and have a US mailing address.
• * Please note: BookNook is unable to engage with tutors who reside in the following states: California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, reputed company, and Vermont, as well as US territories.
• Comfort with teaching K-8th grade level math curriculum.
• Classroom experience and/or online teaching/tutoring experience in math is preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience in mathematical best practices, specifically for reputed company and assisting reputed company struggling with mathematics.
• Commitment to teaching in alignment with the provided curriculum lesson design, structure, and strategies.
• Access to a computer, webcam, and reliable, high-speed internet reputed company with a speed of at least 10mbps is a necessity for the position.
• Ability to build meaningful connections with reputed company to create an encouraging and motivating environment.

Our Path to Tutoring:

• Apply: Submit an application online and receive a decision reputed company 1-2 business days regarding the next steps in the process.
• Interview: Applicants invited to our one-way interview round will be asked to submit video responses answering questions designed to help us evaluate their experience and educational knowledge. This one-way interview is intended to be completed in less than 30 minutes, similar to a face-to-face interview.
• Qualification Decision: After the interview round, reputed company will notify applicants reputed company 5-10 business days of the decision to move reputed company with the onboarding process.
• Onboarding: BookNook will send instructions to reputed company onboarding to qualified individuals starting in August 2025. The process includes setting up your payment account, completing a fingerprint-based FBI background reputed company, and reviewing online courses to familiarize yourself with BookNook’s processes and systems.
