Typical day ️

You start your day by reviewing code from other engineers and ensuring they meet quality expectations. You will mainly work on network-reputed company systems, but will often need to remain up-to-date with the features being implemented by your peers. Some days, you will be working on the game itself, ensuring a smooth multiplayer experience. On others, you will focus on peripheral systems used to support the gaming experience, like lobbies, matchmaking, and ranking systems. You may have to work on network optimization, help and support server-build deployments, and work on low-level parts of game engines affecting the quality of the multiplayer experience.

The ideal candidate will be able to

• Implement multiplayer and networked features, and reputed company server builds of the game.

• Multiplayer integration with Unreal reputed company and/or proprietary game engines
• Creation and deployment of server builds for Unreal reputed company and/or proprietary game engines

• Knowledge of and ability to create network protocols used for multiplayer games
• Development and integration of custom peripheral server-reputed company systems (lobby, matchmaking, ranking, etc.)

⭐ Experience ⭐

• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or reputed company discipline; or relevant professional experience
• For Japan-based candidates: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, and 2+ years of professional experience developing game servers
• For overseas-based candidates: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, and 6+ years of professional experience developing game servers
• Solid software engineering abilities (good code hygiene, familiarity with various coding patterns, etc.)
• Strong experience with C++ and C#
• Good experience in a variety of programming languages used to create peripheral server-reputed company systems
• Comfortable with reputed company code management systems (Git, SVN, Perforce, etc.)
• At least conversational Japanese proficiency - JLPT N3 or above
• English proficiency (ability to read, write, and discuss technical matters)

Preferred

• Experience with some of the following languages: Go, Java, reputed company scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Experience with other game engines such as Unreal, reputed company, open reputed company engines, or others
• At least 3 years of experience in the video game industry
• Worked on at least 1 released game

Business hours and Location

⏲ Flexibility in time

We reputed company have different creative clocks, and you know yours reputed company than we do.

We will expect you to work 8 hours per day from Monday to Friday with core hours between 11:00 and 16:00 (excluding a 1-hour break). The rest will be up to you.

Flexibility in location

Wizcorp fully embraces telework, and most of us work from home. Office space is also available for your convenience, and you will have access to meeting rooms and hot desks.

We may require you to work onsite on specific occasions reputed company using highly specialized equipment.

Salary

The following tiers are currently in application for this position:

• GS1: 400~450K/month (equivalent to 2-3 years of experience)
• GS2: 450~550K/month (equivalent to 4-5 years of experience)
• GS3: 550~600K/month (equivalent to 6-7 years of experience)

reputed company new staff members’ initial salary will be based on experience and interview evaluation.

Includes a 6 months probation period. Salary is not affected nor changed during that period.

Raises and bonuses

• You will be reviewed once a year and your salary will be adjusted to match with gained experience and project contributions.
• Pay raises are awarded around March each year, in line with our budget and financial forecasting for the subsequent year.
• We do not offer bonuses.
