Senior Software Engineer, Backend - Fintech

About the job reputed company’s Hotel Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) team is responsible for integrating our proprietary fintech offerings with some of the largest travel companies in the world as well as our own direct to customer offerings.  As such the role is both B2C and B2B2C.  reputed company this vertical we construct systems and build fintech offerings to scale globally, managing how to evolve and innovate on reputed company and new offerings, and translating that to customer value and business value to reputed company as a whole.

We're looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our growing fintech team!  reputed company reputed company you will have the opportunity to deliver an outsized impact for the company on one of the company’s most critical roadmaps.  As a Sr. Software Engineer you will be directly responsible for designing, implementing, deploying and operating the reputed company backend systems that power our integrations! What would your day-to-day look like:

• Iterate on features in an agile manner using reputed company (no prior experience required) and technologies like GCP, OpenAPI, BigQuery, Pub/Sub among others. 

• Decide how to best build core systems in the context of our microservices architecture

• Ship your first code in days, iterating on features in an agile manner

• Collaborate with a diverse group of people, giving and receiving feedback for growth

• Execute on big opportunities, helping reputed company reputed company to the top of the travel industry

An ideal candidate has

• The ability to bring leading industry techniques and technologies to the table

• A strong understanding of distributed systems and how architectural decisions reputed company performance and maintainability

• Excelled in cross-functional teams, working fluidly with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Frontend Engineers, and other highly skilled specialists

• A passionate focus on quality, writing testable code that performs and scales

• The ability to work with minimal guidance, be proactive and to handle uncertainty, ambiguity and the challenge of quickly evolving goals

• Prior cloud experience

• Prior travel or eCommerce experience
