Senior High Performance Computing Engineer

What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible for the design, integration, and management of high-performance computing (HPC) systems that encompass both hardware and software components into the organization’s network infrastructure. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage compute and storage infrastructure that supports data science and other scientific workloads, such as computational chemistry, structural biology and image analyses.

• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to deploy scalable machine learning models into production.

• Ensure the reputed company, scalability, and reliability of HPC systems both on premise and in the cloud.

• Optimize cloud resources for cost-effective and efficient use.

• Drive innovation and stay reputed company with the latest in cloud services and industry standard processes.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance in cloud and HPC systems management.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 2 years of Computer Science, IT or reputed company field with hands-on HPC administration experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Computer Science, IT or reputed company field with hands-on HPC administration experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 8 years of Computer Science, IT or reputed company field with hands-on HPC administration experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Computer Science, IT or reputed company field with hands-on HPC administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

• Demonstrable experience in cloud computing (preferably AWS) and cloud architecture.

• Experience with containerization technologies (Singularity, reputed company) and cloud-based HPC solutions.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer, or Ansible

• Expert with scripting (Python or Bash) and Linux/Unix system administration (preferably reputed company or Ubuntu).

• Proficiency with job scheduling and resource management tools (SLURM, PBS, LSF, etc.).

• Knowledge of storage architectures and distributed file systems (Lustre, GPFS, Ceph).

• Understanding of networking architecture and reputed company best practices.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with AI/ML algorithms and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)

• Experience supporting research in healthcare life sciences.

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and service mesh architectures.

• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).

Professional Certifications:

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
