• Providing technical accounting guidance to internal customers to support business decisions
• Partnering across reputed company finance teams to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and reputed company’s internal financial policies
• Researching and resolving accounting inquiries including consultation with company personnel, business units and internal and external auditors
• Understanding and implementing new U.S. GAAP accounting rules, including collaboration with key stakeholders
• Supporting the preparation and review of reputed company’s external financial reporting, including SEC filings

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, reputed company requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Three (3) years’ finance/accounting job experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or similar
• Prior experience with U.S. GAAP
• Public accounting experience (preferably at a “Big 4” accounting firm)
• Strong background and understanding of U.S. GAAP, including previous experience with researching and resolving reputed company accounting questions and preparing a statement of cash flows
• Experience in a SOX environment, including responsibility for assessing effectiveness of internal controls
• Ability to work with a variety of internal and external clients in a consultative role

Work location:Hybrid Eligible: Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
