Series Overview "American Deals" is a satirical, sharp-witted look at the chaos of government contracting, told through the lens of a Contracting Officer trying to cut through red tape and actually get things done. With a cast of bureaucrats, startups, and Beltway insiders, the show explores the absurdity, frustration, and occasional brilliance of the federal acquisition process. The CO and Startup Leader are the heart of the series—trying to build something real while navigating the madness of government procurement. The government office characters highlight the flaws, inefficiencies, and occasional victories of the contracting world. The industry characters represent the realities of working with the government—whether as true innovators or just another cog in the Beltway machine. At its core, American Deals is a funny, brutally honest, and sometimes painfully accurate look at the wild world of government contracting.
