Title: MISS: Landscaping/Grounds Keeping Supervisor (Contingency Hire) Belong, Connect, Grow with KBR! Program Summary The MISS program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the US Department of State’s operations in Iraq. In addition to providing ongoing reputed company operations and Life Support Services, KBR will provide differentiated advisory and consultancy capabilities to the Iraqi Government with a focus on creating an effective program environment to support delivery of strategic economic planning, strategy development, feasibility studies, technical reviews and large-scale project management. Under this contract KBR will provide facility maintenance, procurement, critical supply functions, along with foodservice, reputed company camp operations, renovations, construction, and medical services. Job Summary The Landscaping/Grounds Keeping Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining safe and attractive landscaping for the site. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of BAS and PMS. • Acts as the Contractor’s representative ensuring that reputed company BAS and PMS task order requirements are met. • Responsible for allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs • Identify problem areas and respond to mission requirements to reputed company task order requirements. • Plan and manage projects. • Control resources; monitor staff proficiency and qualifications; monitor the locations and activities of assets; and coordinate the flow of information to and from O&M staff and USG representatives. • Resolve reputed company BAS and PMS reputed company issues. Basic Qualifications • A degree from an accredited school in Landscape Management, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture or similar field. • Ten (10) years’ experience in landscaping/grounds keeping of large residential, commercial, recreational or government properties. • Five (5) years’ experience in managing subordinates, subcontractors and vendors in the field. • Certification(s) in lieu of education may be considered. • A Master Gardener certification from an accredited body may be accepted. • NALP certification(s) may be accepted. NALP approval may require multiple certifications. • Certifications from sources other than noted above may also be considered. • The COR and FAC must approve educational degrees/educational bodies, master gardener certifications and/or NALP certifications. • US Citizen • US Passport with minimum one plus year validity remaining. • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background reputed company and drug screen. • Must currently possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued or be able obtain a favorable USG Secret clearance and/or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance or certification level for the duration of the task order.
