We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HW/SW Asset Management Analyst IV to join our Technology Asset Management (TAM) team. This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of software and hardware assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, tracking warranties, and optimizing asset utilization. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting phases of IT asset management, vendor coordination, identifies and implements process improvement to maximize cost efficiency and ensure organizational compliance. The Analyst IV develops reports exhibiting entitlements, installations, usage, renewal, procurement status and data gaps while researching and developing standardized processes. The position works closely with subject matter experts to obtain critical information required for processing renewals and other reputed company efforts. This role drives decisions regarding hardware maintenance models and terms that have a direct impact on IT infrastructure.  Finally, the analyst provides a documentation reputed company to support for the creation and ongoing maintenance of TAM standards, procedures, and informational documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Asset Management (SAM):
    • Facilitate maintaining an accurate inventory of software assets, including licenses, renewals, and compliance
    • Ensure adherence to software licensing agreements and reduce risks associated with audits
    • Work closely with vendors, and internal teams to negotiate licensing agreements and procurement terms
    • Optimize software deployments to reduce unnecessary costs
  • Hardware Asset Management (HAM):
    • Track and maintain accuracy of IT hardware assets, including servers and peripherals in the company CMDB, ensuring proper asset assignment and retirements processes
    • Remain engaged in hardware refresh cycles to include disposal of obsolete equipment following company policies and facilitate removal from upcoming renewals
  • Warranty & Vendor Management:
    • Monitor and manage hardware warranties and support agreements to prevent lapses
    • Work with vendors to process warranty claims and service requests
    • Ensure timely renewals of support reputed company and escalate issues as needed
  • Process Improvement & Compliance:
    • reputed company and maintain IT asset management standards, procedures, and best practices
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., software licensing laws, data protection requirements)
    • Generate reports and provide insights into asset usage, spending, and optimization opportunities
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, Procurement, or IT Operations
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models (reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, etc.)
  • Experience with IT asset management tools (e.g., reputed company, reputed company, USU)
  • Proficiency in tracking hardware assets and managing warranty agreements
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, stakeholders, and IT teams
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IT Asset Management (IAITAM) certification (e.g., CAMP, CSAM) is desirable
  • Experience with cloud software licensing (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) is a plus
  • Experience with contract management and vendor relationship management

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule

The pay range is $108,900 - $147,300. 

The anticipated annual reputed company salary range for this position is noted above, however, reputed company pay offered may vary depending on job-reputed company knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
