Senior Manager Analytics, Operations Finance

Role Description

As a Senior Manager Analytics, Operations Finance in Birmingham, Minneapolis, MN or remotely you will be responsible for leading our Data Analytics team within the Finance organization at Shipt. This role will report to the Director of Research and Reporting, helping to drive strategic decision-making through data driven insights.

• Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) to provide actionable insights to finance leaders and key stakeholders.
• Drive the integration of advanced analytics and automation tools to enhance efficiencies.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to Finance leaders.
• Collaborate with Data Science team to oversee data architecture, integration, and management, ensuring efficient data flow and accessibility.
• Work closely with various departments, including Data Science, Finance/Accounting and Operations, to ensure alignment on strategic goals and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in data science, finance analytics, operations finance or related fields.
• SQL proficiency and familiarity with aggregation, joins and window functions.
• Proficiency in data analysis languages (e.g. R, Python) and dashboard tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with process automation (e.g. Airflow) and with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Proactive and adaptable to changing business needs.
• Experience using APIs, especially Slack, Google Maps and Google Drive is preferred.
• Basic data engineering (transforming raw data for storage in another table) is preferred.

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis.

Pay Range

• Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City: $112,000-$224,000
• All other locations: $93,000-$187,000

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
