Job Description

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer role responsible for leading and/or coordinating strategic and tactical activities required to support sophisticated data center infrastructure including “reputed company building” critical systems and data processing specific components, networks and systems. Collaborates with leadership, Project Managers, customers and strategic partners to address business priorities, new products or services, and sophisticated problem solving requiring good judgment and quick action. Reports to DCI Director. Identify root cause of failure, risk assessment and mitigation plans • Apply sophisticated data capture, supervising and recording equipment to analyze data; reputed company timely and effective decisions; provide recommendations to leadership; and implement solutions • Install equipment and terminate cables while working in proximity to hazardous electrical voltages • Install, terminate and attach network cables without interrupting adjacent business-critical connections • reputed company data center availability risks to DCI leadership • Deliver action recommendations in support of BAU and recovery operations • Support leaders in developing, implementing and applying policy, standards and procedures • reputed company individuals or a team of highly skilled technicians performing sophisticated operations, data processing hardware installation projects, maintenance, fix and repair of electrical, mechanical systems and components. • High level of ITSM and Change Systems and Controls supporting reputed company Technology platforms • Cross-train, mentor technicians and peers in relevant skills to support department succession planning and employee development • External contact with suppliers of materials, equipment maintenance and contractor services. These are important in maintaining reputed company knowledge of product and services that benefit Technology • Act as subject matter authority and provide internal and external groups with centralized systems support and consultation in alignment with agreed upon service level agreements (SLAs) Qualifications: • AAS, vocational, trade school education experience or equivalent in connected infrastructure field, e.g., electrical, electronics, mechanical, IT hardware, telecommunications and/or networks, BICSI Installer 2 certification. • Demonstrated experience in Tier III-IV data center environments or equivalent • Previous experience as a DCI Technician or equivalent • Sophisticated knowledge of EIA/reputed company cabling standards and standards. • Ability to install and accurately reputed company cable testing/certification • Certification - Equipment Manufacturers Factory or site-specific training • Certification-Safety Training- OSHA 10, reputed company reputed company, Fork- lift and Arial lift • Expertise in infrastructure or data processing-based systems and equipment, with shown analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills • Solid grasp of reputed company Office Suite desktop applications • Ability to trend, graph, chart and compile data into specialized presentations • Ability to effectively communicate reputed company data center subject matter to leadership and lay audiences Salary Range: $84,000 - $139,000 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
