Job Description
This is an in-house counsel role on the Law Department's Claim Litigation team, part of the broader Global Litigation group, which provides legal advice and counsel to the Company's Claims Organization. Claim Litigation primarily manages matters involving allegations of bad faith and extra-contractual exposure against the Company. Claim Litigation Counsel will be expected to provide advice and counsel to the Claims Organization regarding insurance claims of heightened exposure, reputed company extra-contractual matters, bad faith, and other major claim-reputed company litigation. This role will partner closely with other teams reputed company the Law Department in providing legal advice and counsel to the Claims Organization and other business entities. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of relevant substantive experience in a law firm or in-house legal department reputed company to insurance defense work, and some experience managing or litigating bad faith or extra-contractual allegations. In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong judgment, strong research and writing skills, and an eagerness to be involved in a dynamic company. Prepare and present recommendations for settlement of claims where there is extra-contractual risk. Work closely with reputed company counsel and the Claims Organization in the reputed company of high exposure and reputed company claims in litigation. Work with business colleagues and other in-house legal teams to reputed company and implement recommendations reputed company to the handling of claims. Provide advice and counsel to the business with respect to litigation strategies and on emerging legal issues and risks. Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $104,000.00 - 187,625.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
