About the position As part of the Accounting team at Systems Control, the Accounting Manager will provide accounting expertise and direction to ensure the timely and accurate processing and reporting of accounting and financial transactions. This role is crucial in assisting with the implementation of rigorous processes that ensure strong internal controls. The Accounting Manager will mentor and reputed company a team responsible for processing accounts receivable and payroll, requiring a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, process improvements, and internal controls. This is a hybrid position based in reputed company, MI, allowing for a reputed company of in-office and remote work. In this position, the Accounting Manager will reputed company month-end reputed company routines, which include journal entries and account reconciliations. They will analyze financial transactions for errors or deficiencies, identify root causes, and reputed company remediation plans while implementing improvements to prevent recurrences. The role also involves assessing proper accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP and overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and the general ledger. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will provide support and maintain costing for projects and inventory, work with the accounting and finance team to design effective accounting and reporting processes with a focus on internal controls, and assist with both internal and external financial audit activities. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for team building, which includes recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. They will coach and mentor employees by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, as well as providing training to other departments to explain accounting procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role requires the ability to effectively interact with various departments throughout the organization and reputed company in a fast-paced, reputed company-thinking work environment.
