As the Senior Mobile Android Developer, you will be crafting the foremost experience that millions of customers engage with daily. The opportunity for growth at will be responsible in ensuring the seamless operation of our MyBambu app by addressing user issues, troubleshooting technical problems, and collaborating with developers to enhance the overall user experience. Job Responsibilities: • Application Delivery Process: Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications. • Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of application design activities, tools, and techniques; ability to utilize these to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design. • Application Testing: Knowledge of application testing and ability to design, plan, and execute application testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality throughout all stages of application development. • Packaged Application Integration: Knowledge of and the ability to implement packaged application software and integrate it with company applications, databases, and technology platforms. • System Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of project management techniques and the ability to plan, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain system development life cycle segments and phases. • Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of the technical language and writing approach, and the ability to write paper-based and online technical reference documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc.) • Application Development Tools: Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications. • Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application, or operational) problems. Skill and Abilities: • Android Development: Proficiency in Android SDK, Android Studio, Kotlin, and Java programming languages. • UI/UX Design: Experience in designing user interfaces and user experiences for mobile applications, including familiarity with Material Design principles. • Mobile App Architecture: Knowledge of architectural patterns like MVC, MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture for scalable and maintainable app development. • RESTful APIs: Experience in integrating and consuming web services using RESTful APIs for data exchange. • Database Management: Familiarity with SQLite and other databases for local data storage and retrieval. • Version Control: Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration with other developers. • Testing and Debugging: Skills in unit testing, UI testing, and debugging tools like Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and Logcat. • Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery consumption. • Cross-Platform Development: Knowledge of cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native is a plus. • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Experience in CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes. • Agile Development: Familiarity with Agile methodologies for iterative and collaborative development. • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. • Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients. • Documentation: Ability to document code, APIs, and technical specifications for reference and maintenance. Job Requirements: • Bilingual - (English & Spanish), preferred. • Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • Have five to ten years of deep expertise working on mobile software consumer facing applications and leading developers. • Expert knowledge of app development on Android, including the latest versions • Expert hands-on experience with Kotlin • Software development and debugging skills. • Experience with peer review code evaluation processes. • Knowledge of basic networking principles, internet protocol, and web services and APIs • Experience using JIRA and bitbucket or related technologies.
