KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED • Reading and Writing Program Teachers: • Four-year degree or equivalent required • Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience required • Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension required for reading teachers • Math Program Teachers: • Four-year degree required in a discipline requiring three or more years of college level math • Minimum of one or two years of tutoring experience in Algebra 1 or 2, Geometry, Precalculus/Trigonometry, Calculus, or Statistics • College and Secondary/Independent School Test Prep Teachers: • Four-year degree or equivalent required • Minimum or one or two years of tutoring experience in SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, or HSPT prep preferred • Academic Coaching Program Teachers: • Four-year degree or equivalent preferred • Minimum of one or two years of tutoring experience in subject areas such as History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Foreign Languages required • Knowledge of study strategies for organization and time management, note-taking, test-taking, and goal-setting preferred The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
