Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Security Architect to join our esteemed organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding strategic initiatives related to security, data management, and risk assessment. Key Responsibilities • Documenting Processes: Generate coherent and succinct narratives and executive summaries tailored for diverse stakeholders. • Business-Focused Documentation: Craft user-friendly documentation designed for readers with varying technical expertise. • Insight Sharing: Deliver insightful perspectives on Security Architecture and IT Governance practices, including implementation methodologies. • Security Policy Alignment: Conduct research and provide recommendations for aligning technology solutions with established security policies and standards. • Compliance & Risk Analysis: Perform evaluations of Security Compliance and Controls, assess risks, and meticulously document any exceptions. • Collaboration: Engage closely with Business teams and Enterprise Architects to thoroughly comprehend business needs and offer strategic counsel on data security and risk mitigation. • Strategic Consultation: Collaborate with fellow architects and technical experts to devise roadmaps and strategies that align with key performance indicators (KPIs). • Design & Implementation: Develop and execute enterprise security and technology frameworks. • Governance & Peer Review: Investigate and disseminate findings related to architecture governance, controls, and peer review processes in relation to platform technology, security, and cloud solutions. Required Skills • Security Best Practices: Proficiency in implementing security best practices across various technological platforms. • Process Modeling: Experience in modeling processes effectively. • IT Governance & Compliance: In-depth understanding of IT governance and compliance protocols. • Business Writing & Presentation: Proven ability in creating professional documentation and impactful presentations. Qualifications • Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in information security and IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability. • Regulatory Alignment: Solid foundation in analyzing proposed changes to ensure compliance with relevant security standards at both state and federal levels. • Policy Development: Comprehensive experience in formulating, applying, and presenting information security architecture policies, standards, and procedures. • Security Frameworks Knowledge: Familiarity with established information security frameworks such as NIST-800 series and Cybersecurity Framework. • Compliance Monitoring: Experience in overseeing IT environments to ensure adherence to security architecture policies and standards. • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge in at least two security domains, including cloud technologies, Identity & Access Management, vulnerability management, firewalls, and databases. • Strategic Guidance: Capacity to inform security strategies for future designs and capabilities. • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the aptitude to elucidate complex technical concepts in accessible language. • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven capability to lead security initiatives and share critical information across diverse teams, including management and service providers. • Adaptability: Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly acquire new skills in response to changing customer needs. • Customer Understanding: Profound comprehension of customer priorities and the significance of platforms, applications, and services.
