Marriott International is in need of a part-time Event Coordinator for our Modesto location. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating events ensuring client satisfaction. This position offers a flexible schedule with working hours under 4 hours.

Job Description:

The Event Coordinator will handle all aspects of event planning, from the initial inquiry to the completion of the event. This includes meeting with prospective clients, creating and maintaining budgets, booking vendors, and coordinating event activities.

Responsibilities:

– Consult with clients to determine objectives and requirements for events.

– Create and manage detailed timelines for each event.

– Coordinate details of events such as conferences, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, surprise parties, trade shows, sales meetings, business meetings, employee appreciation events, and virtual events.

– Calculate budgets and ensure they are adhered to.

– Book talent, event staff, and rent equipment.

– Coordinate and monitor event timelines.

– Review event bills for accuracy and approve payment.

Requirements:

– Excellent communication skills.

– Ability to manage multiple projects.

– Detail-oriented and organized.

– Experience in project management.

– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

– Good customer service skills.

Educational Qualifications:

A degree in event management or hospitality would be advantageous but not mandatory.
