Job Description: As a School-Based Special Education Teacher in Ridgeland, SC, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored educational programs for students with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with educators and families, and monitoring student progress to ensure optimal educational outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with South Carolina state regulations and federal guidelines. • Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with disabilities, addressing their unique educational needs. • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student success and address any challenges. • Conduct assessments and track student progress, making necessary adjustments to instruction based on data. • Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insights and recommendations for student development. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and compliance with reporting requirements. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution. • Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement. • Minimum of one year of experience as a Special Education Teacher. • Knowledge of South Carolina special education laws and regulations. • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively within a team and engage with families to support student progress.
