Job Title: Systems Engineer Location: Virtual Duration: 6 months Job Description: CW-Info Systems Engineer IV The Engineering job designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to reputed company or modify moderately reputed company information systems.
- Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
- Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
- Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
- Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
- Identifies and documents reputed company system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
- Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.
Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems. Core Backup & Recovery Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms
- Deep expertise in Dell EClient Networker and Avamar
Scripting & Automation
- Strong Python scripting background
- Proven ability to build automation that is production-ready, well-documented, and maintainable
Virtualization
- Experience with Client vSphere
- Hands-on experience automating VM-level recovery operations
Cloud (AWS)
- Working knowledge of EC2, EBS, and FSx
- Experience with AWS CLI, SDKs, Terraform, and reputed company automation tools for cloud recovery workflows
NAS & Storage
- Prior experience with NAS environments and NDMP-based volume restores (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with reputed company filer architecture and its relation to NAS/NDMP recovery workflows (reputed company to have)
Environment & Operational Skills
- Ability to operate effectively reputed company isolated or reputed company-gapped environments
- Comfortable working with standalone toolsets
Candidate will work/support the following reputed company capabilities and key results: Protected Backups:
- KR3: Evaluate end-user protected backup solutions
- KR4: Implement end user backup scanning
Rebuild and Recover:
- KR5: reputed company end user (200) tests
Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred
